REFLECTIONS ART PROGRAM

"Diversity Means ..."

It’s time to pull out your paint, film, and dictionary. Dust off your camcorder and musical instruments, and put on your dancing shoes, its time for the 2011-2012 PTA Reflections Program! This program is sponsored by the National PTA and recognizes outstanding student works in six art areas: literature, musical composition, photography, film/video production, dance choreography and visual arts. The theme for this year is "Diversity Means ..."

If your child is interested in participating, please an email directly to Reflections Chair; Tonya Wollum pta@ddespta.org. Your child will then receive an entry form and official rules for each area requested.

Entries will be collected in early November. Remember to follow all rules and presentation guidelines which will be included in the official rules packet. Forms must be completely filled out (including signatures) to be accepted for judging. Judging will begin in early November, and the judges will select which entries will be sent to the next level of competition to represent our school. We will recognize all participants during a special ceremony; details will be sent home with participants closer to the event.

In your email to the Chair, please include the following information:

• Child's Name
• Grade
• Teacher
• All category names your child is interested in participating in. (There is no limit on the number of categories or the number of entries per child.)
• Literature
• Musical Composition
• Photography
• Video Production
• Dance Choreography
• Visual Arts
